Job summary

Calvary St Martin de Porres Retirement Community is seeking a dedicated Leisure and Lifestyle Officer to design, implement and run engaging programs for residents. You will support autonomy and independence, creating enjoyable activities in a caring environment at Waratah.

The role requires a Leisure & Lifestyle qualification, current First Aid, and a passion for serving residents with cognitive impairment and disabilities. NSW Driver's licence is preferred.

Qualifications

• Leisure & Lifestyle Certificate Level IV or other relevant qualification.
• Current First Aid Certificate.
• Experience in planning, implementation and evaluation of activities for frail people with cognitive impairment and disabilities.
• Ability to document assessments, care plans and progress notes.
• Sensitivity to and understanding of the needs and interests of residents.
• Current NSW Drivers Licence.
• A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation.

About the role

As part of the Leisure and Lifestyle team you will ensure the design, development and implementation of special programs to meet the needs of residents, helping to provide quality of life and enjoyment whilst in care.

As Leisure and Lifestyle Officer you will conduct programs to support the autonomy and independence of each resident, by creating a fun and relaxing environment.

What you bring
