Job summary

Calvary Ryde Retirement Community is seeking a dedicated Leisure and Lifestyle Officer to design and implement engaging programs for residents. You will create activities that enhance autonomy, independence and quality of life in a welcoming, mission-driven environment.

Applicants should hold a Leisure & Lifestyle qualification with First Aid, have experience with frail or cognitively impaired individuals, and possess a NSW Driver's Licence.

Qualifications

• Leisure & Lifestyle Certificate Level IV or other relevant qualification.
• Current First Aid Certificate.
• Experience planning, implementing and evaluating activities for frail people with cognitive impairment and disabilities.
• Ability to document assessments, care plans and progress notes.
• Sensitivity to residents' needs and interests.
• Current NSW Driver's Licence.
• Desire to join a mission-based care team.

About the role

As part of the Leisure and Lifestyle team you will ensure the design, development and implementation of special programs to meet the needs of residents, helping to provide quality of life and enjoyment whilst in care.

As Leisure and Lifestyle Officer you will conduct programs to support the autonomy and independence of each resident, by creating a fun and relaxing environment.

What you bring

• Leisure & Lifestyle Certificate Level IV or other relevant qualification
• Current First Aid Certificate
• Experience in the planning, implementation and evaluation of activities for frail people with cognitive impairment and disabilities

• Sensitivity to and understanding of the needs and interests of residents
• Current NSW Drivers Licence
