Calvary Mt Carmel Retirement Community in Maitland seeks a Leisur e & Lifestyle Officer to design, develop and implement engaging programs for residents. You will deliver activities that support autonomy and independence, creating a fun and relaxing environment for those in care.

The role focuses on enhancing quality of life at Calvary Mt Carmel, which supports up to 41 residents and operates within a mission-based organisation. Strong communication and documentation skills are required.

Qualifikationen

• Leisure & Lifestyle Certificate Level IV or other relevant qualification (Essential).
• Current First Aid Certificate.
• Experience planning and evaluating activities for frail people with cognitive impairment and disabilities.
• Ability to document assessments, care plans and progress notes.
• Sensitivity to residents' needs and interests.
• Current NSW Drivers Licence.

About the role

As part of the Leisure and Lifestyle team you will ensure the design, development and implementation of special programs to meet the needs of residents, helping to provide quality of life and enjoyment whilst in care.

As Leisure and Lifestyle Officer you will conduct programs to support the autonomy and independence of each resident, by creating a fun and relaxing environment.

Calvary Mt Carmel provides quality care for up to 41 residents.

What you bring

• Leisure & Lifestyle Certificate Level IV or other relevant qualification (Essential)
• Current First Aid Certificate
• Experience in the planning, implementation and evaluation of activities for frail people with cognitive impairment and disabilities
• Ability to document assessments, care plans and progress notes
• Sensitivity to and understanding of the needs and interests of residents
• Current NSW Drivers Licence
• A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
