Job summary

Toyota Finance Australia is seeking a highly organized Legal Projects Coordinator to support the General Counsel and Legal Managers with coordinating and delivering strategic initiatives across the Legal Function. This 12‑month contract role is based onsite and requires experience in project coordination, governance and continuous improvement.

You will develop dashboards and reports, manage plans, and engage stakeholders across Legal, Risk, Compliance, Finance and Technology to drive

Qualifications

  • Experience in a project coordination, legal operations, business support, PMO, or transformation role.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Experience preparing reports, presentations and executive-ready communications.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft 365 skills, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and SharePoint.

  • Coordinate and support the delivery of legal projects, strategic initiatives and operational improvement activities.
  • Maintain project plans, milestones, action logs, risk registers and project reporting.
  • Prepare business cases, briefing papers, governance submissions and executive reports.
  • Support process improvement initiatives by documenting current and future state processes and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, trackers and reporting related to legal operations and governance activities.
  • Coordinate activities across Legal, Risk, Compliance, Finance, Procurement, Technology, People & Culture and external partners.
  • Assist with change management activities, communications, training and stakeholder engagement.

About the team

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Legal Projects Coordinator to support the General Counsel and Legal Managers with the coordination and delivery of strategic initiatives, operational improvements and business projects across the Legal Function. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in project coordination, legal operations, business analysis, governance or continuous improvement who enjoys driving outcomes, improving processes and working with a diverse range of stakeholders.

12-month contract role.

How you'll make an impact
  • Coordinate and support the delivery of legal projects, strategic initiatives and operational improvement activities.
  • Maintain project plans, milestones, action logs, risk registers and project reporting.
  • Prepare business cases, briefing papers, governance submissions and executive reports.
  • Support process improvement initiatives by documenting current and future state processes and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, trackers and reporting related to legal operations and governance activities.
  • Coordinate activities across Legal, Risk, Compliance, Finance, Procurement, Technology, People & Culture and external partners.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives aligned to Toyota's Ways of Working and Kaizen principle.
Your attributes
  • Experience in a project coordination, legal operations, business support, PMO, business analysis or transformation role.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Experience preparing reports, presentations and executive-ready communications.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
  • The ability to identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to positive change.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft 365 skills, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and SharePoint.
  • Experience within legal, risk, compliance, financial services or professional services environments will be highly regarded.
