Job summary

JETOUR Australia is seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to provide strategic, commercial and regulatory legal support across our Australian operations. You will partner with senior leadership and cross‑functional teams to support growth, manage risk and ensure compliance within Australia’s regulated automotive industry.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Laws or equivalent legal qualification.
• Admission as an Australian lawyer with a current practising certificate.
• 5–8+ years' post-admission legal experience.
• Experience in commercial contracts, regulatory matters and corporate/commercial law.
• Experience in automotive, manufacturing or other highly regulated industries.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic, commercial and regulatory legal support to the business.
• Draft, review and negotiate dealer, distribution, supplier, technology, marketing and other commercial agreements.
• Advise on Australian consumer law, competition law, privacy and product liability.

JETOUR Australia is seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to provide strategic, commercial and regulatory legal support across our growing Australian automotive operations. Reporting to the senior leadership team, you will act as a trusted legal advisor to the business, partnering closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to support JETOUR's growth, manage legal and commercial risk, and ensure compliance within Australia's highly regulated automotive industry. This is a key opportunity to play a hands-on role in building JETOUR's Australian business, supporting our brand, dealer network and operations across areas including commercial contracts, sales, supply chain, marketing, product, technology, regulatory compliance and aftersales.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with senior leadership and business teams to provide practical, commercially focused legal advice and manage legal risk
• Draft, review and negotiate dealer, distribution, supplier, technology, marketing, partnership and other commercial agreements
• Advise on Australian automotive regulations, Australian Consumer Law, competition law, consumer protection, privacy, advertising, product liability and dealer/franchise requirements
• Identify and mitigate legal and commercial risks, manage disputes and claims, support regulatory matters and coordinate external legal counsel where required
• Provide legal guidance across vehicle products, EVs, connected vehicles, software, data, intellectual property, cybersecurity and emerging technologies, while supporting legal policies and governance frameworks
• Work closely with JETOUR's global and regional legal teams, particularly stakeholders in China, and build strong relationships across the Australian business

About you

• Bachelor of Laws or equivalent legal qualification
• Admission as an Australian lawyer with a current practising certificate
• 5–8+ years' post-admission legal experience
• Strong experience in commercial contracts, corporate/commercial law and regulatory matters
• Experience in automotive, manufacturing, mobility, technology or another highly regulated industry
• Demonstrated experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating complex commercial agreements
• Strong knowledge of Australian Consumer Law and relevant commercial regulatory frameworks
• Proven ability to advise senior stakeholders and balance legal risk with commercial objectives
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic and evolving business
