Job summary

JETOUR Australia is seeking a Junior Accountant to join our Finance team, supporting day-to-day accounting operations including AP/AR, bank reconciliations, cash management, tax compliance and month-end reporting. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this early-career role offers exposure to Australian requirements and PRC GAAP, with cross-cultural collaboration across our Australian and Group Finance teams.

Ideal candidate has 1–3 years' experience, a degree in Finance/Accounting, strong Excel

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
• 1–3 years accounting experience.
• Knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards (AASB) and PRC GAAP.
• Knowledge of GST, BAS and FBT.
• Experience with SAP and strong Excel skills.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Organizational skills and ability to manage priorities.
• Australian citizenship or permanent residency.

Responsibilities

• Process AP and AR, including invoice verification, data entry and payment processing.
• Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accurate account balances.
• Reconcile OA system entries and process travel reimbursements.
• Review expense reimbursement claims for policy compliance.
• Manage daily cash receipts/payments and prepare cash reports.
• Post expenses to the general ledger and assist month-end closing.
• Assist with GST, BAS and FBT tax compliance.
• Support reporting for Group Finance and other accounting activities.

JETOUR Australia is looking for a Junior Accountant to join our growing Finance team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Junior Accountant will support the day-to-day accounting operations of the Australian subsidiary, including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, cash management, expense management, tax compliance and month-end reporting. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career accounting professional to gain broad exposure to both Australian accounting requirements and PRC GAAP, while working closely with the Australian Finance team and JETOUR's Group Finance team. English is the primary working language, and the role requires strong attention to detail, accuracy and the ability to work effectively across cultures.

Key responsibilities

• Process accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), including invoice verification, data entry and payment processing
• Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accurate and up-to-date account balances
• Reconcile entries recorded in the OA system and process travel reimbursements and administrative procurement transactions
• Review employee expense reimbursement claims to ensure compliance with company policies
• Manage daily cash receipts and payments, prepare daily cash reports and maintain appropriate controls over company funds
• Review and post expenses, including advertising, transportation and routine operating costs
• Manage rebate and brand fund accounting for the Australian subsidiary
• Maintain and manage the fixed asset register
• Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger
• Support the month-end closing process, ensuring accounting tasks are completed accurately and within strict deadlines
• Assist with tax compliance activities, including GST, BAS and FBT requirements
• Support reporting and accounting activities required by the Group Finance team
• Assist with other finance and accounting activities as required

About you

You will be a motivated and detail-oriented accounting professional looking to develop your career within a growing global automotive business.

You will ideally have:

• A Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline
• 1–3 years' relevant accounting experience
• Working knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards (AASB) and PRC GAAP
• Knowledge of the Australian taxation system, including GST, BAS and FBT
• Experience with SAP and strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
• Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
• The ability to work effectively under pressure and meet strict deadlines
• Strong communication, collaboration and cross-cultural teamwork skills
• Australian citizenship or permanent residency
