Job summary

Catherine McAuley Primary School, Medowie, part of the Catholic Schools Office Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle, invites two permanent part-time Learning Support Assistants to join from January 2027. LSAs will support teachers to enable every student to grow academically and spiritually within a faith-filled educational environment.

Qualifications include WWCC and anaphylaxis training; Certificate III/IV in School Based Education Support is desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students with disability (K-12).
• Understanding of Catholic education mission and school policies.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers in classroom activities and routines.
• Assist with assessments and interventions under teacher direction.
• Support students with disability to participate in learning and transitions.
• Contribute to enrolment and transition processes under teacher guidance.
