Job summary

The Department of Education Victoria in Frankston is seeking a Learning Specialist (Range 3) to model high-quality teaching and lead School-Wide Positive Behaviour Supports (SWPBS) and data-informed wellbeing initiatives.

You will mentor teachers, present demonstration lessons, and collaborate with leaders and families to improve student achievement, engagement, and wellbeing, leveraging data to inform practice and professional learning.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expert knowledge of curriculum and high-quality teaching.
• Expertise in School-Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS).
• Ability to use data to inform teaching and school improvement decisions.
• Capacity to mentor and coach teachers and to lead professional learning.
• Demonstrated collaboration with families, students and staff.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate high-level teaching practice in classrooms and model lessons.
• Lead and model SWPBS implementation and data-informed improvements.
• Provide evidence-based feedback to teaching staff and leaders.
• Deliver professional learning and communities of practice for staff.
• Mentor and supervise trainee teachers and support staff to improve practice.
