Qualifications

• Demonstrated expert knowledge of the relevant curriculum and ability to model exemplary teaching practice across literacy and numeracy.
• Expertise in high impact teaching strategies and in evaluating learning growth using data.
• Ability to monitor and assess student learning and provide feedback to students and parents.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with students, colleagues, parents and the wider school community.
• Ability to model professional learning and support school-based professional development.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate high-level expertise in teaching and learning practice.
• Model exemplary classroom practice including teaching demonstration lessons.
• Collaborate with school leadership to define effective teacher practice.
• Lead and model whole-school improvement strategies related to curriculum planning and delivery.
• Provide professional learning, including observation and feedback processes for teacher development.
• Provide evidence-based feedback to teaching staff to inform development.
• Advise on context, processes and strategies for school professional learning.
• Supervise and mentor student teachers and coach teachers.
• Model use of student data to tailor teaching approaches.
• Promote school-wide professional learning structures and protocols.
