Job summary

Glasshouse Country Christian College in Beerwah, QLD, seeks a dedicated Learning Enhancement Teaching Assistant to support students with disability and learning needs within the classroom and targeted small-group settings.

You will collaborate with the Learning Enhancement Team and teachers to implement differentiated teaching, monitor progress and assist with IEPs and ESPs, ensuring students engage and achieve their potential.

Qualifications

• Committed Christian who actively supports the College ethos and values.
• Genuine passion for supporting students with disability and learning needs.
• Understanding of a range of student disabilities and appropriate support strategies.
• Ability to collaborate with teachers and Learning Enhancement Team for differentiated teaching and assessment.
• Ability to build positive, respectful relationships with students, staff and families.
• Organised with capacity to maintain observations, records and other documentation.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Flexible, patient and responsive to individual student needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and timely support to students with disability in classroom and targeted small groups.
• Support differentiated teaching, learning and assessment.
• Assist with implementation of IEPs and ESPs, and monitor progress.
• Maintain accurate progress observations and documentation.
• Collaborate with families, Advisory Visiting Teachers and allied health professionals.
