Job summary

Built Environs in Adelaide, Australia, is seeking an experienced Learning & Development professional to execute our L&D roadmap, build capability, and support leadership development to drive business performance.

Reporting to the GM of HR, you will design practical programs, manage LMS/HRIS, and partner with regional leaders to deliver structured development across operations; experience in construction or infrastructure is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in L&D, capability or organisational development roles.
• Experience implementing structured learning and development initiatives within operational environments.
• Experience with LMS/HRIS systems and reporting.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in HR, Learning & Development or related discipline.
• Experience in construction, engineering, infrastructure or similar industries – preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and embed the existing Learning & Development Strategy and multi-year roadmap across the business.
• Develop and maintain competency frameworks and career pathways for Built Environs employees.
• Partner one-on-one with senior leaders and subject matter experts to design and implement practical, fit-for-purpose capability programs.
• Support the shift from ad-hoc training to structured, proactive and cohort-based development approaches that are sustainable and supportive of operations.
• Plan, coordinate and deliver programs across multiple Regions, ranging from onboarding, leadership, technical and professional capability programs.
• Manage learning systems (LMS/HRIS), ensuring accurate data capture, reporting and insights to support decision-making.
• Provide timely and accurate L&D reporting for HR and business requirements.
• Engage and manage external providers to ensure quality, cost-effective delivery.
• Monitor program effectiveness and recommend improvements to strengthen impact and engagement.
• Contribute to the ongoing refinement of learning plans as business priorities evolve.
