Job summary

Queensland Country Bank is seeking an energetic L&D trainer to influence, support, and facilitate training across our branch network. The role involves travel regionally, on-the-job coaching on member experience, product knowledge, and system usage while engaging with branch managers, regional managers, retail teams and head office functions.

You will prioritize people development, contribute to People & Culture initiatives, and help create a fantastic experience for our teams.

About the Role

We're on the lookout for a dynamic banking/retail trainer who can captivate, influence, and collaborate with our leaders to proactively enhance our teams' skills.

This role entails travel throughout the region, providing on-the-job coaching on various subjects including member experience, product knowledge, system usage, onboarding, and general operational processes within our branches. It's a pivotal role in our success, requiring interaction with various stakeholders such as branch managers, regional managers, retail teams and head office functions.

As a customer service professional, you possess a genuine dedication to prioritising people and assisting teams in bringing out their best. You'll also play a part in People & Culture, ensuring that we foster a fantastic experience for our teams.

About You

  • You are self‑motivated who wants to proactively support the development of our teams. You have awesome communication skills with an ability to remain flexible in the face of changing priorities and operational requirements.
  • Ideally you have come from the retail banking network so you can work with our teams to service our members.
  • Proven experience in a similar role in the financial service sales environment, preferably with exposure to consumer banking and lending;
  • Proficient in creating training plans and delivering training;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Tertiary qualifications in Education, Training, Finance or similar (desirable or willing to undertake further studies);
