Job summary

Queensland Country Bank in Townsville is seeking a Learning & Development Coordinator to blend training coordination, facilitation, onboarding, program creation, and stakeholder collaboration.

You will lead onboarding programs, evaluate training effectiveness, design and deliver development programs, and support culture and capability initiatives across the organisation.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of training theories and development frameworks.
  • Experience in design, delivery and evaluation of programs.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Formal qualifications in Education or Training or related fields.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate onboarding programs to induct new employees.

The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Learning & Development Coordinator to join our People & Culture team. This hands‑on role blends training coordination, facilitation, onboarding, program creation, and collaboration with stakeholders across the organisation. You will be responsible for:

  • Coordinating onboarding programs to ensure new employees are effectively inducted into the organisation
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Design, coordinate and deliver learning and development programs across the business
  • Contributing to broader organisational development, culture and capability initiatives.
  • Providing professional advice to leaders and stakeholders on learning solutions, development pathways and capability uplift.
  • Conduct training needs analyses and develop relevant training plans.

This position is full-time and located in our Townsville office.

What We Are Looking For

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Strong understanding of training & organisational development theories, instructional design models and facilitating programs
  • Demonstrate strong skills, knowledge and expertise in training design, delivery, and evaluation.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Tertiary qualifications in Education, Training, Finance or similar
  • Strong attention to detail, time management and project coordination capability
