Job summary

Build Up Recruitment is seeking a Leading Hand / Junior Site Manager for high-end residential renovations and additions in the Eastern Suburbs. You’ll be supported by the senior team to develop into a senior builder and manage projects from start to finish.

Role focuses on supervising architectural renovations, coordinating subcontractors, and maintaining safety and quality on occupied properties. A strong leader with carpentry background is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience after carpentry apprenticeship with team leadership.
• Experience on high-end residential builds is essential.
• Renovation and additions experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Eagerness to learn and develop.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Knowledge of construction laws and regulations.

Leading Hand / Junior Site Manager - Eastern Suburbs - 5 days per week

Are you a skilled and motivated Leading Hand Carpenter looking to elevate your career to the next level? We have an exciting opportunity for you to work with a highly regarded high-end residential builders, specialising in architecturally designed renovations and additions across the Eastern Suburbs and Inner West. You'll be supported in your development by the senior team and molded into a great builder.

Responsibilities

• Supervise architectural renovation and addition projects
• Complete carpentry work when needed
• Ensure all work is carried out safely, within budget and to a high standard
• Support and coordinate subcontractors and suppliers
• Maintain a tidy and respectful site - especially important when working on occupied properties
• Maintain a safe working environment and ensure all workers comply with health and safety regulations

Requirements

• At least 3 years' experience out of your carpentry apprenticeship with experience leading a team as a Leading Hand / Foreman
• Experience working on high-end residential builds (essential)
• Renovation and addition experience preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Eagerness to learn and develop
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Knowledge of construction laws and regulations
