Job summary

Gold Fields Group Services (Pty) Ltd is seeking an Underground Electrical Supervisor to lead a team in high quality maintenance and installation of electrical infrastructure across fixed and mobile underground equipment. This role supports Granny Smith operations and reports to the Underground Electrical Supervisor.

The position includes a comprehensive package with allowances, long service leave and bonus potential, and requires a WA A-Grade Electrical License with HV switching ticket and

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership in a mining environment.
• WA A-Grade Electrical License with HV switching ticket is essential.
• Proven ability to build and lead teams in operations.
• Short Term Planning experience desirable.
• SAP knowledge is highly regarded.
• Valid driver's license required.
• S26 certification required.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day activities of the electrical team, including contractors, to meet targets.
• Ensure minimal production disruption through access to parts, equipment and service providers.
• Provide leadership and mentoring for the Electrical team.
• Demonstrate compliance with OHS and Environmental Management System standards.

The Opportunity:

Reporting to the Underground Electrical Supervisor at Granny Smith, you will be responsible for: Planning and supervising high quality maintenance and installation of electrical infrastructure on a wide variety of fixed and mobile equipment Underground as used in the mining operations.

This role is offered on an 8 days on 6 days off roster and is Fly in Fly out from Perth or Drive in Drive out from the Goldfields region.

About the role:

• Lead the day-to-day activities of the electrical team inclusive of contractors on a cost-effective manner, assuring awareness of performance targets, access to the necessary tools to achieve these and that their activities are aligned within company targets
• Ensure minimal disruption to production through ready access to critical parts, equipment, and service providers
• Provide ongoing leaderships and mentoring for the Electrical team
• Demonstrate full compliance with the OHS and Environmental Management System standards by assisting with the implementation and participating in initiatives, regular meetings, investigations, and training.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Demonstrated leadership, performance development experience within a mining environment
• WA A-Grade Electrical License plus HV switching ticket and experience in this field is essential.
• Proven ability to build and lead teams
• Short Term Planning Experience would be desirable.
• SAP knowledge would be highly regarded
• Valid Driver’s license
• S26 certification required.
