Job summary

Gold Fields Group Services (Pty) Ltd is seeking a qualified Electrician to deliver preventative and breakdown maintenance across surface and underground fixed plant infrastructure in a mining environment in Western Australia. The role offers an 8/6 7/7 days and nights roster, with residential or FIFO from Perth.

Residential employees receive daily bus transport and relocation assistance if needed. Key duties include fault-finding and repair of electrical and instrumentation systems (HV & LV),

Qualifications

• Australian recognised Electrical Trade Qualification is required.
• Valid A Grade Electrical Licence is required.
• Experience with fixed plant and/or processing environments.
• Instrumentation and PLC experience (Allen Bradley highly regarded).
• Current First Aid Certificate is required.
• HV Switching Certificate desirable.
• Working at heights and EWP tickets required.
• Additional tickets (crane, dogging, forklift) highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance on plant equipment.
• Fault-find and repair electrical and instrumentation systems (HV & LV).
• Carry out inspections, servicing, adjustments and troubleshooting.
• Commissioning and decommissioning of equipment and machinery.
• Conduct HV switching activities.
• Maintain compliance with safety, environmental and site procedures.
• Complete all administrative processing requirements associated with maintenance duties.
• Support and mentor apprentices.

Reporting to the Leading Hand Electrical, you will be responsible for delivering preventative and breakdown maintenance across surface and underground fixed plant infrastructure, ensuring safe, reliable and efficient operations.

This role is offered on an 8/6 7/7 days and nights roster, either residential or FIFO from Perth. For residential employees, daily bus transport to and from site is provided, along with relocation assistance if required.
