Job summary

Gold Fields Group Services (Pty) Ltd is seeking an Electrician for a heavy rotational roster at St Ives mine in Western Australia. You will perform preventative and breakdown maintenance on surface and underground fixed plant equipment, ensuring safe and reliable operations.

The role offers an 8/6 7/7 days and nights roster, residential or FIFO from Perth; relocation assistance and bus transport for residential staff.

Qualifications

• Australian recognised Electrical Trade Qualification required.
• Valid A Grade Electrical Licence mandatory.
• Experience with fixed plant and processing environments preferred.
• Instrumentation and PLC experience (Allen Bradley a bonus).
• Current First Aid Certificate required.
• HV Switching Certificate desirable.
• Working at heights and EWP tickets essential.
• Additional tickets (crane, dogging, forklift) highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance on plant equipment.
• Fault-find and repair electrical and instrumentation systems (HV & LV).
• Carry out inspections, servicing, adjustments and troubleshooting.
• Commissioning and decommissioning of equipment and machinery.
• Conduct HV switching activities.
• Maintain compliance with safety, environmental and site procedures.
• Complete all administrative processing requirements associated with maintenance duties.
• Support and mentor apprentices.

Reporting to the Leading Hand Electrical, you will be responsible for delivering preventative and breakdown maintenance across surface and underground fixed plant infrastructure, ensuring safe, reliable and efficient operations.

This role is offered on an 8/6 7/7 days and nights roster, either residential or FIFO from Perth. For residential employees, daily bus transport to and from site is provided, along with relocation assistance if required.
