Job summary

Carmichael Ford Townsville is hiring a Workshop Controller to lead the Service Department and keep the workshop running smoothly and efficiently. You will coordinate day-to-day workflow, support technicians and ensure customers receive the quality service Carmichael Ford is known for.

You will work with the Workshop Foreman and management team, taking ownership of workshop performance while developing your automotive career. Ford experience is preferred but not essential.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience to drive workshop performance and team engagement.
• Strong understanding of dealership and service department operations.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to stay calm and effective under pressure in a busy workshop.

Responsibilities

• Manage and control daily workshop workflow.
• Allocate jobs across technicians to optimize throughput.
• Monitor technician performance, productivity and efficiency.
• Drive performance to achieve workshop targets.
• Maintain high standards of safety and quality.
• Ensure work is completed efficiently and to a high standard.
• Help deliver consistent customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate closely with Workshop Foreman and management.
