Job summary

Orange Sky Australia is seeking an internal candidate to step into the role of Team Leader Operations Support on a 12-month secondment. Based in Tasmania, you will manage the Volunteer Operations Support team and drive service excellence across Australia, mentoring staff and ensuring frontline services remain consistent.

You will lead daily activities, plan workload equitably, drive process improvements through automation, monitor OKRs, and collaborate with partners to improve the supporter

Qualifications

• Leadership experience or clear readiness to lead, develop and manage a high-performing team.
• Understanding of OS systems (Rosterfy, Airtable, Asana) and operational workflows.
• Excellent communication with a diverse range of staff and volunteers.
• Proactive problem-solving to address gaps in service delivery.
• Strong organisational skills to balance service portfolio with leadership duties.
• Genuine passion for connecting communities and driving team success.

Responsibilities

• Leading and developing the Volunteer Operations Support team and serving as the escalation point.
• Workload planning to distribute work equitably across the team.
• Identifying opportunities to streamline administrative tasks through process improvements and automation.
• Monitoring OKRs to ensure timely resolution of enquiries and smooth volunteer lifecycle.
• Supporting frontline operations including recruitment and onboarding activities.
• Collaborating with other leaders and external partners on strategic initiatives.
