Job summary

North Ballarat Sports Club Pty Ltd in Ballarat, Victoria is seeking a Venue Supervisor to oversee daily operations across bar, bistro, function and gaming areas. You will lead, support and motivate staff to maintain high service standards while ensuring compliance with RSA, RSG and gaming regulations.

The role requires experience in a busy club or similar hospitality setting, current RSA/RSG modules and Victorian Gaming Licence, and the ability to work nights, weekends and public holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience as Venue Supervisor, Duty Manager or senior hospitality team member.
• Experience in a busy club, pub, RSL or similar hospitality environment.
• Current RSA, RSG modules and Victorian Gaming Licence (essential).
• Ability to work nights, weekends and public holidays.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Sound understanding of gaming compliance and responsible service requirements.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
• Willingness to lead by example.
• Excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day operations across bar, bistro, function and gaming areas.
• Lead, support and motivate staff to maintain high standards of service.
• Ensure high standard of customer service at all times.
• Manage compliance with RSA, RSG and gaming regulations.
• Assist with training and performance management.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
• Open and close the venue as required.
• Monitor gaming operations and ensure procedures and documentation are completed accurately.
• Assist with staff rostering, shift coordination and operational requirements.
• Maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for members, guests and staff.
