Jokers on Ryrie in Geelong CBD is seeking an Assistant Venue Manager to lead the venue operations, focusing on food & beverage service and gaming compliance. The role requires strong leadership, excellent customer service, and the ability to manage shifts while maintaining high standards.

You will supervise staff, ensure policy compliance with Liquor Act and gaming regulations, and be accountable for smooth daily operations, including cash handling and rosters.

Competenze

• Proficiency in and passion for both food & beverage service with proven experience is essential.
• Strong understanding of Gaming and TAB facilities preferred.
• Maintain a high standard of service while ensuring compliance with Liquor Act and Victorian Gaming Compliance and government regulations.
• Be willing to take responsibility and provide clear, consistent direction to staff while promoting a harmonious team environment.
• Flexible to work a rotating roster including nights, weekends and public holidays when required.

Exciting opportunity available for an Assistant Venue Manager to join a family owned & operated Geelong CBD hotel.

This is a great opportunity for an applicant who knows how to 'lead by example', who has solid experience, is highly motivated, customer focused and a target driven individual. This role requires a dynamic problem solver with the ability to remain calm in high pressure situations and think on their feet while working under and learning from the Venue Manager & Management Team.

Skills & Experience:

• Proficiency in and passion for both food & beverage service with proven experience is essential.
• Strong understanding of Gaming and TAB facilities preferred.
• Maintain a high standard of service to all patrons, while ensuring compliance with company policies, Liquor Act, Victorian Gaming Compliance and government regulations.
• Ensure smooth running of hotel operations on designated shifts.
• Complete all cash reconciliations in an accurate and timely manner.
• Proactively supervise all staff by providing clear and consistent direction, ensuring that company standards are adhered to at all times, as well as promoting a harmonious team environment.
• Be willing to take responsibility and accountability.
• The right candidates must have excellent communication skills and a strong customer service focus, as well as be professionally presented and groomed at all times.
• Committed, trustworthy and responsible professionals are what we are seeking. The candidates must be flexible and available to work a rotating roster, including nights, weekends and public holidays when rostering demands this.
• Current Victorian Gaming Licence & RSG preferred..
• EGM and TAB experience is preferred.
