Job summary

Arup Australia is seeking a Transmission and Distribution Technical Director to lead major electrical engineering projects in NSW and Australasia. You will coordinate multi-office design teams, ensure delivery on time and to budget, and build strong client relationships to grow the Arup brand in the energy sector.

Qualifications

• Recognised tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering with emphasis on HV/EHV design management.
• Deep understanding of Transmission and Distribution projects and HV/EHV requirements across energy markets.
• Ability to lead multi-office design teams and manage project scope, budget and schedule.

Responsibilities

• Lead for Transmission and Distribution projects in Australasia and NSW, coordinating design teams across offices.
• Develop longer-term plans aligning with Arup’s Energy strategy and business goals.
• Win bids and provide bid support including estimation and risk assessment.
• Mentor staff and support recruitment, performance development and morale.
