Job summary

Arup Australia is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Sydney team, specialising in data centre projects. You will deliver electrical designs for power distribution, lighting, earthing, and communications systems, and coordinate with clients and technical specialists across a range of high-profile developments.

You will apply innovative and sustainable design thinking to deliver reliable, efficient solutions while developing your technical depth and project leadership capability

Qualifications

• Recognised tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Solid experience in electrical engineering within a consulting environment, ideally with exposure to data centre or mission-critical facilities.
• Strong technical capability in the design and delivery of complex electrical systems.
• Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Deliver electrical designs for data centre projects, including power distribution, lighting, earthing, and communications systems.
• Undertake detailed design, coordination, and documentation in line with relevant standards and client requirements.
• Support project leaders in managing scope, programme, quality, and technical risk.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders, contributing to technical discussions and design development.
• Apply innovative and sustainable design thinking to support reliable, efficient, and future-ready data centre solutions.
