Job summary

Rocky Bay Limited is seeking a capable shift leader to guide a care team delivering person-centred support for customers with complex needs in Western Australia.

You will lead by example in active support, ensure high standards, and coordinate handovers. The role emphasizes safety, caring for PEG feeding, catheter care and medications while promoting independence and community engagement.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting customers with complex care needs.
• Strong leadership capability with the confidence to provide direction, feedback and guidance to others.
• Excellent communication, judgement and problem-solving skills.
• Confidence with manual handling and hoist transfers.
• A proactive and accountable approach - you see what needs to be done and take action.
• A genuine commitment to Active Support, customer choice and independence.
• The ability to build positive relationships while maintaining professional boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Resolve issues, provide feedback and escalate concerns when required.
• Provide clear handovers to the Team Leader regarding customer, staff or incident matters requiring follow-up.
• Support customers with complex care needs, including PEG feeding, catheter care, medication administration and seizure management.
• Safely undertake manual handling tasks, including hoist transfers, positioning and wheelchair support.
• Support customers to participate in community access, appointments and activities.

Salary: $40.00 - $41.66 per hour + Salary Packaging
Employment: Permanent, Part-Time (67.5 hours per fortnight)
