Job summary

Qualifications

• Extensive Siebel CRM design/development/testing experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan and facilitate workshops with stakeholders to clarify requirements.
• Collaborate with architects, UX designers, product design assurance and developers on feasible solutions.
• Develop and document detailed functional designs, user stories, and artefacts.
• Peer review design deliverables and perform confidence checks of functionality.
• Provide risk assessment of project activities.
• Coordinate implementation of solution designs with stakeholders.

Job Details

The Systems Analyst – Siebel Designer provides specialised business and systems analysis services supporting the delivery, enhancement and ongoing operation of critical aged care digital services.

Working across the organisation’s Siebel CRM platform and associated integrated systems, the role collaborates with business, policy, project, technical and external stakeholders to understand requirements, analyse impacts and develop fit-for-purpose solutions.

The role contributes across the full solution lifecycle, including requirements analysis, functional design, build support, test support, implementation and post-release activities. It supports both project delivery and operational sustainment while enabling system enhancements, regulatory changes and reform initiatives.

The successful candidate will require strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills, a sound understanding of Siebel CRM and associated business processes, and the ability to manage dependencies across interconnected applications and technology platforms.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Partner with business analysts and other staff at all levels within the department and external agencies to determine business requirements
• Negotiate scope within technical and resourcing limitations
• Plan and facilitate workshops with business and external stakeholders to clarify requirements and present design solutions
• Work closely with architects, UX designers, product design assurance and developers to ensure solution and functional designs are feasible and follow established patterns and standards
• Develop and document detailed functional design specifications, user stories, mock-ups, diagrams and other design artefacts
• Peer review colleagues’ design deliverables and perform confidence checks of built functionality
• Provide advice on the relative risks of project-related activities
• Coordinate the implementation of solution designs with relevant stakeholders
• Analyse and resolve design issues raised during development and post go-live
• Transfer skills and knowledge to departmental officers

Technical Skills

• Minimum SFIA Level 6
• Tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in ICT
• 3–5+ years’ experience in IT systems analysis and design
• Prior experience working in the Australian Government on large and complex IT systems
• 5+ years of recent experience with Siebel CRM in any role
• At least two years of recent experience working as a Siebel Analyst-Designer
• Extensive experience as a Siebel CRM designer, developer or tester
