Job summary

Bunnings is seeking a Department Manager to oversee daily operations, sales and high-volume stock in a specialist area. You will lead a 20+ team, train staff for Best Experience, and collaborate with Operations leadership to ensure outstanding customer service and optimal stock levels.

You will drive service excellence, manage rostering, monitor KPI performance, and uphold safety standards while opening/closing the store on a rotating schedule. A strong retail background is essential.

• Experience leading teams in retail or large, high-volume environments.
• Strong safety leadership and policy compliance.
• Open/close store responsibilities; plan rostering and staffing.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 20+ to deliver Best Experience and safety culture.
• Open and close the store across weekdays and weekends.
• Roster and plan for service delivery and staff coverage.
• Drive department sales through merchandising excellence and KPI monitoring.
• Maintain stock accuracy, replenishment discipline and loss prevention.
• Develop team capability and recognise performance.
• Collaborate with Merchandising, Store Leadership and Health & Safety teams.
