Job summary

Bunnings is seeking a Department Manager in Australia to lead a 20+ person team, ensuring outstanding service and safe operations. You will coordinate with fellow managers and report to the Operations/Complex Manager while driving Best Experience, stock management, and strong KPI performance.

You will train and develop staff, oversee rostering, and ensure the department showcases the widest range and best prices while maintaining high standards of customer care and safety.

Qualifications

• Proven track record leading teams with a focus on safety and wellbeing.
• Experience in large, high-volume retail environments.
• Ability to manage and develop a 20+ member team.
• Strong coaching, performance conversations and recognition skills.
• Understanding KPI’s and meeting customer expectations.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 20+ to maintain an engaged, safe work environment and perform duty manager duties (opening/closing).
• Build team capability on Best Experience and Safety Culture & Compliance through engagement and performance management.
• Rostering and strategic planning to deliver service promises and drive department sales.
• Act on customer feedback to improve end-to-end experience.
• Own stock accuracy, replenishment, and loss-prevention processes.
