Job summary

Bunnings Warehouse is seeking a Department Manager in Australia to oversee daily operations, high-volume stock management, and sales within your specialist area. You will lead a 20+ strong team, train and develop staff, and partner with Store Leadership to deliver our Best Experience to customers.

You will monitor customer service levels, collaborate with Merchandising and Health & Safety teams, and work a 1-in-3 weekend roster with some public holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience leading 20+ staff in high-volume retail environments.
• Strong focus on safety culture and compliance with policies.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Ability to train, develop and recognise team performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 20+ to maintain an engaging, safe work environment and supervise duty manager responsibilities.
• Drive Best Experience by coaching, engagement and recognition.
• Plan rostering and manage merchandising to deliver department sales.
• Monitor stock accuracy, replenishment, and loss prevention processes.
• Execute customer service improvements and maintain strong supplier relationships.
