Job summary

CitiPower and Powercor is seeking a Project Manager for Major Projects to lead complex infrastructure initiatives from concept through delivery. You will drive planning, execution, and close-out with a focus on schedule, budget, safety, and regulatory compliance.

You will coordinate internal teams and external partners, manage risks and contracts, and develop processes to improve project delivery across the network.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in an Engineering or associated area/discipline.
• The role requires a detailed knowledge of project management concepts.
• Detailed knowledge of people management concepts.
• Knowledge of electricity distribution, sub-transmission, transmission and/or infrastructure industry with Powercor/CitiPower standards.
• Accreditation as CPPM (or ability to achieve) with the Australian Institute of Project Management.
• At least 5 years’ experience applying PM principles and delivery methodology in electrical distribution.

Responsibilities

• Lead major projects from planning through to close-out, delivering on time, on budget, and to quality/OH&S standards.
• Direct internal teams and subcontractors, managing risks and budgets.
• Prepare, evaluate and issue tenders for major projects and materials.
• Manage stakeholder expectations across Customer and Electricity Network Groups.
• Develop and implement project management systems across operations.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory policies, processes and standards.
• Ensure contractor activities meet contractual obligations and regulations.
• Collaborate with partners to meet governance requirements and KPIs.
