Job summary

CitiPower and Powercor is seeking a Team Leader for Project Development & Distribution Design in Melbourne. You will lead a multi-disciplinary design and project engineering team, ensuring high-quality, cost-effective services for internal and external clients while driving efficiency and program savings across major initiatives.

You’ll apply your extensive knowledge of electrical distribution networks, QA standards, and project management principles to deliver timely design solutions,

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in an Engineering, Technical or Management discipline.
• Project Management or Engineering Management Qualification (Desirable).
• Detailed knowledge of the electrical distribution network, particularly design and compliance with relevant customer and Australian Standards.
• Strong interpersonal skills across the organization, with ability to influence at all levels.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance issues, Occupational Health Safety Act and distribution standards and codes.
• Experience leading complex engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage team performance to ensure quality output and maintain reports.
• Encourage participation in decision making aligned to business objectives.
• Lead scoping, planning and delivery for the program of works, improving timeliness, cost and quality.
• Oversee design integration into major projects to drive efficiency.
• Manage external design contractors for cost-effective, timely services.
• Support engineering innovation and continuous improvement across Network Services.
