Job summary

JobsTrackR is seeking a Senior Power Systems Engineer to lead electrical design and power system studies for industrial, mining and utilities projects in Brisbane. You will combine office design work with hands-on site involvement and mentor junior engineers.

The role offers ownership of projects from concept to commissioning, rigorous design documentation, and collaboration with clients and contractors. Permanent position, Brisbane on site, with the opportunity to develop leadership skills

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering and extensive experience in industrial power systems.
• Experience with design documentation, specifications, scopes of work and reports.
• Ability to manage small project teams and communicate with clients, suppliers, contractors and other engineering disciplines.
• RPEQ registration, or currently working towards it.
• Permanent working rights in Australia.

Join an established engineering consultancy delivering power and automation solutions across utilities, infrastructure and heavy industry. You’ll take projects from concept through commissioning, combining complex design work with practical site involvement and the opportunity to lead and mentor engineers.

Experience

Essential:

• A degree in Electrical Engineering and extensive experience in industrial power systems.

• Strong experience preparing design documentation, specifications, scopes of work and technical reports.

• The ability to manage small project teams and communicate confidently with clients, suppliers, contractors and other engineering disciplines.

• RPEQ registration, or currently working towards it.

• Permanent working rights in Australia.

Desirable:

• Five or more years of power system analysis and design experience.

• Strong knowledge of relevant Australian Standards.

• Significant experience using PTW and/or ETAP.

• Experience designing industrial HV networks, protection systems, earthing and lightning protection.

• Experience across heavy industries.

Salary

140,000–160,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Location
