Our client is a leading, specialist engineering organisation for high-voltage design, transmission, storage and the technology that supports this equipment. They have a enviable client base including renewable energy companies, utilities and the resource sector.

The company continues to grow and demand from clients is high, as such they are looking for experienced Power System Engineers to join their team. With a footprint across all major states in Australia, similar roles will be an option for locations.

The Opportunity

This is a great opportunity to join a team of specialist engineers who provide technical solutions and expertise to multiple clients across a range of projects in Australia across the power and energy industry.

As an expert in Power System Engineering, we are looking for individuals who can confidently present outstanding results and outcomes to clients. Using innovation and initiative, you will be able to articulate complex material and translate the results to your clients with confidence. Your deep technical knowledge means you can manage multiple projects at varying phases,.

Responsibilities will also include:

• Providing support to multiple power projects being delivered across Australia.
• Performing analytical studies using PSS Sincal, DigSilent, PowerFactory, PSS/E and other power system analysis software in the areas of network planning, protection and distributed generator interconnection.
• Developing power system models for connection of the generators, loads, and BESS and configure them to align with the local and national regulations.
• Define and present plan, budgets and risks to clients
• Provide technical support to the sales team in order to enhance their knowledge and ability to articulate to clients
• Generating models, studies and reports for network services providers, including the likes of AEMO and developers etc.
• Supporting project managers and bid coordinators to prepare successful proposals for winning new work

Essential Qualifications and Experience

• You hold a degree in Electrical Engineering
• You have demonstrated experience of working as an expert in power system analysis in grid connection, generation, transmission and distribution systems in Australia.
• You are highly proficient and an advanced user of power system software - i.e. PSS Sincal, PSS/E, DigSILENT, Python, PowerFactory, ETAP, PSCAD and other power system software.
• You have Project Management experience with a commitment for providing excellent customer service across multiple projects.
• Knowledge and experience with planning and connection studies, including load flow and fault analysis.
• You show high attention to detail with strong organisational and time management skills
• You have excellent communication skills and can present verbally or written, detailed, solution focused results to clients with successful deliverables.
• You thrive when able to use innovation, initiative and inquisitiveness, in order to provide positive outcomes for clients.
