Job summary

Design & Build Recruitment in Sydney is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to act as the technical lead for major national HV projects, including substations, solar farms and battery energy storage systems.

You will perform HV modelling, grid connection studies, protection and earthing design, and develop specifications and datasheets for equipment. You’ll also coordinate with AEMO, DNSPs and TNSPs to ensure project success.

Qualifications

• BSc Engineering or equivalent.
• CPEng or eligibility to obtain.
• 10+ years’ HV design experience.
• Proficiency with power system modelling tools (ETAP, PowerFactory or PSCAD).
• Experience in earthing design and CDEGS.
• Strong knowledge of Australian standards.

Projects: Energy Infrastructure & Defence Infrastructure (33kV, 66kV, & 132kV, including Substations, Solar Plants & BESS).

• Strong knowledge of Australian standards.
