Job summary

Hunter Philips Ltd is seeking an experienced Power System Engineer to join the Brisbane team and deliver advanced grid studies and interconnection analyses across Australia. You will use PSS Sincal, PSS/E, DigSILENT, Python and other tools to develop models and reports for clients and regulators.

You will manage multiple projects, coordinate with sales and bid teams, and present plans and risks clearly to clients in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Expert in power system analysis for grid connection, generation, transmission and distribution in Australia.
• Proficient with power system software such as PSS Sincal, PSS/E, DigSILENT, Python, PowerFactory, ETAP and PSCAD.
• Project management experience with multi-project delivery and strong customer service.
• Knowledge of planning and connection studies including load flow and fault analysis.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to multiple power projects across Australia.
• Perform analytical studies using PSS Sincal, DigSILENT, PowerFactory, PSS/E and other software for network planning, protection and DG interconnection.
• Develop power system models for generators, loads and BESS and align with local and national regulations.
• Define and present plans, budgets and risks to clients.
• Support sales team with technical articulation for proposals.
• Generate models, studies and reports for network service providers including AEMO.
• Support project managers and bid coordinators to win new work.
