Job summary

Zenith Energy in Perth seeks a Lead Mechanical Engineer to lead a team of engineers and own mechanical design across remote power stations. You’ll ensure quality, safety and lifecycle value from design to operation, coordinating with electrical, controls and construction teams.

The role is hands-on with leadership, development, project coordination and continuous improvement, supporting assets in WA and the NT while travelling to remote sites as required.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified Mechanical Engineer with professional membership (Engineers Australia).
• 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience in a commercial environment.
• Strong design, calculations and documentation skills including piping, flow, heat rejection and ventilation.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Mechanical Engineers and own mechanical design, technical assurance and quality across power station projects.
• Provide senior oversight of P&IDs, PFDs, piping systems and site layouts.
• Lead mechanical engineering support for generator installation, commissioning and upgrades.
