Job summary

Pacific Energy in Perth, Western Australia, is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Lead to head a multidisciplinary design team. You will oversee resource planning, scheduling, and delivery across multiple renewable energy projects, ensuring safety, quality and regulatory compliance.

Reporting to the Senior Manager Engineering - Design, you will drive design governance, engage with clients and consultants, and mentor engineers to continuously raise design standards and efficiency within the

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with extensive experience.
• Proven leadership of engineering, design, or technical teams.
• Strong understanding of electrical engineering, drafting, and design principles.
• Experience in power generation, renewable energy, microgrids, or related energy projects.
• Excellent project planning, resource management and organisational skills.
• Strong technical writing and documentation capabilities.
• Knowledge of Australian Standards, statutory requirements and industry regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Electrical Design team with resource planning and performance management.
• Ensure successful delivery of electrical design outputs across projects with priorities and timelines.
• Develop and implement electrical design strategies, standards and procedures.
• Participate in safety reviews and promote safety and quality culture.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including contractors and clients.
• Support site milestones, commissioning activities and design verification.
• Manage department performance and KPIs.
