Job summary

UNSW, a leading Australian research and teaching university, invites applications for the Education Development Manager in the Faculty of Science. You will lead the Educational Development team to design and implement innovative learning activities, modules, programs and courses in collaboration with academic staff.

The role delivers strategic leadership for education development, supports curriculum design, and promotes evidence-informed teaching across the Faculty.

Qualifications

• Experience in educational design and development with constructive alignment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing Education Development team with coaching.
• Provide strategic leadership for education development across the Faculty.
• Represent the Faculty on committees, workshops and forums.
• Collaborate with academic staff to design and enhance curricula and assessment.
• Oversee learning activities and ensure inclusive, accessible pedagogy.
• Advise on curriculum design and educational technologies.
• Build relationships with key stakeholders to support priorities.
• Develop reporting and evaluation to inform decisions.
• Provide policy guidance to senior leadership on education priorities.
• Communicate education initiatives clearly to internal/external audiences.
• Contribute to Faculty-wide education initiatives and projects.
• Champion innovation and continuous improvement in learning and teaching.
• Align with UNSW values and ensure safety responsibilities.
