Job summary

Children First Gympie is seeking an experienced Lead Educator to guide our Pre Kindy room and lead the team to success.

You will create inclusive, safe learning environments and foster strong relationships with children, families and staff, while ensuring policies and licensing requirements are met. The role emphasizes leadership, collaborative practice and pedagogical growth across indoor and outdoor learning spaces.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Children’s Services or studying towards approved by ACECQA.
• Blue Card, First Aid, Anaphylaxis and Asthma qualifications.
• Experience in an early childhood setting.
• Sound understanding of EYLF and NQF.
• Leadership experience in guiding a classroom and mentoring peers.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain an inclusive, fun, safe, healthy, productive and effective learning environment.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, families, colleagues and the broader community.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, centre policies, licensing, legislation and regulations.
• Support colleagues, share ideas and information, and work collaboratively in the team.

A little about you:

A Diploma qualification (or studying towards) in Children's Services as approved by ACECQA.

Current Blue Card, approved first aid, anaphylaxis and asthma qualifications.

Experience in an early childhood setting.

A sound understanding of the EYLF and NQF.

Prior experience and confidence in leading a classroom setting and writing educational programs.

Strong leadership skills and an ability to confidently guide and mentor your peers.
