Job summary

Gumera Early Learning & Kindergarten on the Gold Coast seeks a warm, Diploma-qualified Lead Educator to lead engaging programs and support a collaborative teaching team.

You will nurture relationships with children and families, foster culturally respectful environments and contribute to wellbeing and learning through best practices and continual growth.

Qualifications

• Diploma on Early Childhood Education and Care or higher is required.
• Passion for early learning, nature play and community connection.
• Strong knowledge of EYLF and NQF.
• Commitment to reflective practice and ongoing professional growth.
• Flexibility with rostered hours.
• Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and First Aid/CPR training.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement meaningful programs aligned with EYLF and the Centre philosophy.
• Build strong relationships with children, families and community.
• Coach and mentor team members to foster collaborative learning.
• Contribute to a culturally safe and environmentally conscious learning environment.

About the Role

We are seeking a warm, knowledgeable and dedicated Diploma Qualified Lead Educator to join our team. You will work alongside passionate early childhood professionals to create an engaging, inclusive, and respectful environment for children and families.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement and/or support the implementation of meaningful programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework and our Centre philosophy

• Build strong, respectful relationships with children, families, and the wider community

• Support and mentor team members, promoting collaborative learning

• Contribute to a culturally safe and environmentally conscious learning environment

• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies

What You'll Bring

• Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or currently working towards

• A genuine passion for early learning, nature play and community connection

• Strong knowledge of the EYLF, NQF and contemporary early childhood practices

• A commitment to reflective practice and ongoing professional growth

• Flexibility with rostered working hours

• A current Working with Children Check (Blue Card), First Aid/CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis training

• Current Australian work authorisation is required at the time of application
