Job summary

Edge Early Learning in Australia is seeking a Lead Educator to shape learning experiences and mentor a team of educators. You’ll design and deliver high-quality, culturally responsive programs, fostering each child’s development in a safe, inclusive setting.

You will lead, implement programs, build connections with families and maintain accurate progress records in accordance with centre policies and national regulations.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or near completion) is required or expected.
• Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care are acceptable for educator roles.
• Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management certifications are required.
• Substantial experience and strong administrative/time management skills are needed.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with children and adults are essential.
• Proven leadership and self-motivation are expected for a Lead Educator.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor educators, promoting professional growth and high standards.
• Develop and evaluate programs that support each child’s needs and interests.
• Create a safe, hygienic and engaging environment in line with safety standards.
• Build warm relationships with children, families and colleagues to foster belonging.
• Document and track each child’s progress in line with policies and regulations.
