Job summary

Edge Early Learning is seeking a Lead Educator at our Cairns/Edmonton centre to mentor a team, deliver engaging EYLF-aligned programs, and foster a positive centre culture. You will lead the Pre-Kindy room, collaborating with the Centre Director and Educational Leader to support children’s learning and wellbeing.

The role requires a Diploma or Graduate Diploma/Master of Teaching with relevant long day care experience; strong mentoring and leadership skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or recognised equivalent) required.
• Experience as Lead Educator in a long day care setting preferred.
• Strong understanding of NQF and EYLF and ability to mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and mentor educators.
• Deliver engaging educational programs aligned to the EYLF.
• Build strong relationships with children and families.
• Create safe, inclusive learning environments.
• Support continuous improvement and quality outcomes.
