Job summary

Fireflies Early Learning Centre is hiring Lead Educators to join a vibrant, innovative team. The role focuses on guiding children's learning, building strong relationships with families, and mentoring other educators to deliver high-quality care.

Ideal candidates have a Diploma or ACECQA equivalent, current First Aid, and a valid Working with Children’s Check. A supportive centre culture and opportunities for professional development are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience as a Lead Educator.
• A Diploma or ACECQA equivalent qualification is required or in progress.
• Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Certificates are required.
• Valid Working with Children’s Check is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead educator to explore with children and support them to become leaders of their own learning.
• Build relationships with families and children that inspire learning through play with endless opportunity.
• Lead and support educators within the room to ensure high-quality education and care practices.
• Collaborate with the Educational Leader to enhance educational practices, support reflective practice, and improve curriculum planning and documentation processes.
• Provide guidance, mentoring, and role modelling to educators and students.
• Foster a positive, respectful, and collaborative team culture.
• Communicate operational and educational matters effectively with the Nominated Supervisor and leadership team.
