Job summary

Busy Bees is seeking a passionate Lead Educator for Yerrabi Ponds, ACT, on a full-time basis. You will lead the daily learning program in your room, mentor Educators, and create a safe, engaging environment where children thrive.

You will bring a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA-equivalent), current First Aid/CPR/Asthma and Anaphylaxis, WWVP, and proven leadership in an early learning setting, with strong EYLF/NQS knowledge.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA-approved equivalent) required.
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certification.
• Current ACT Working with Vulnerable People Registration (WWVP) - Working with Children Check.
• Demonstrated experience leading a room within an early learning environment.
• Strong knowledge of the EYLF and National Quality Standards (NQS).
• A collaborative and supportive leadership style.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and implementation of a high-quality educational program aligned with the EYLF.
• Inspire and mentor Educators within your room.
• Create a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
• Build strong, collaborative relationships with families and the local community.
• Ensure compliance with the National Quality Framework (NQF) and centre policies.
• Support children’s development, wellbeing, and learning outcomes through engaging play-based experiences.
