Job summary

Busy Bees is seeking a Lead Educator for Yerrabi Ponds, Canberra region, on a full-time basis. You will lead the daily learning program, support educators, and create a safe, engaging environment where children thrive.

Requirements include a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or ACECQA-equivalent, current First Aid/CPR, WWVP/Working with Children Check, and proven leadership in an early learning setting.

Qualifications

• Diploma in ECE or ACECQA-equivalent required.
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certifications.
• WWVP/Working with Children Check required.
• Experience leading a room in an early learning environment.
• Strong EYLF and NQS knowledge.
• A collaborative, supportive leadership style.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and implementation of a high-quality educational program aligned with EYLF.
• Inspire and mentor Educators within your room.
• Create a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.

Lead Educator (Full-Time) | $36.14 – $41.11 per hour | Yerrabi Ponds by Busy Bees

We’re seeking a passionate and experienced Lead Educator to join our team at Yerrabi Ponds by Busy Bees, on a full-time basis. You will play a key role leading the daily learning program within your room, supporting educators, and creating a safe and engaging learning environment where children thrive.

What you’ll do

• Lead the planning and implementation of a high-quality educational program aligned with the EYLF
• Inspire and mentor Educators within your room
• Create a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment
• Build strong, collaborative relationships with families and the local community
• Ensure compliance with the National Quality Framework (NQF) and centre policies
• Support children’s development, wellbeing, and learning outcomes through engaging play-based experiences

What you’ll bring

• A genuine commitment to child safety, speaking up, always doing the right thing, and alignment with Busy Bees values
• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA-approved equivalent)
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certification
• Current ACT Working with Vulnerable People Registration (WWVP) - Working with Children Check
• Demonstrated experience leading a room within an early learning environment
• Strong knowledge of the EYLF and National Quality Standards (NQS)
• A collaborative and supportive leadership style
