Hitachi Construction Machinery Australia is seeking a Workshop Leading Hand to join our Revesby site. You will lead a team of technicians across New Build and Retail Repair activities, driving safety, quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction.

This hands-on leadership role offers a clear path for career progression within a globally recognised OEM while remaining actively involved in daily workshop operations.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Diesel Mechanics, Mobile Plant, Heavy Vehicle Mechanics, or similar.
• Experience leading technicians in a workshop environment.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality and customer service.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Proactive, team-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily workshop activities to maximise productivity and efficiency.
• Lead, mentor, and support technicians to achieve quality and performance targets.
• Monitor workflow and job progress to ensure customer deadlines are met.
• Provide technical guidance across New Build and Retail Repair work.
• Liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders on machine performance and repairs.
• Promote and maintain a strong safety-first culture.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across workshop operations.
• Ensure high standards of workmanship, quality control, and customer service.
