Job summary

WesTrac Perth is seeking a skilled Heavy Diesel Mechanic - Leading Hand (Workshop) to supervise a team of mechanics and apprentices in a busy Perth workshop. You will drive safety, quality, and productivity while mentoring juniors and delivering high-quality Caterpillar maintenance and repair work.

Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, you will coordinate rosters, lead by example, and ensure adherence to WesTrac's standards across a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment with opportunities for

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Heavy Mobile Plant Technology.
• Experience with Caterpillar equipment.
• Proven team leadership with a strong focus on safety.
• Ability to multitask in a busy workshop.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a team of mechanics and apprentices.
• Promote and encourage high safety and quality standards.
• Assist in training and developing team members.
• Handle high volume work efficiently.
