Job summary

Komatsu Australia is seeking a Leading Hand - Remarketing to coordinate workshop activity, guide technicians and ensure repairs and machine preparation meet high standards. This role offers ownership of jobs from start to finish and demands practical leadership in a busy workshop environment.

The successful candidate will have a relevant diesel mechanic trade qualification, 5+ years of experience with heavy equipment, and the ability to coordinate parts, subcontractors and deadlines while

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in diesel mechanics or equivalent.
• 5+ years' experience diagnosing and repairing heavy equipment.
• Strong understanding of earthmoving machinery.
• Ability to coordinate jobs, parts, subcontractors and deadlines.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate workshop repairs, servicing and preparation of Remarketing equipment.
• Support technicians through diagnostics and complex repairs.
• Inspect completed machines to ensure quality standards are met.
• Help coordinate used machinery appraisals, repairs and maintenance.
• Manage jobs across parts, subcontractors and other repair providers to keep work on schedule.
• Support major equipment maintenance and rebuild projects.
• Review repair estimates, variations and completed job documentation.
• Maintain accurate service and technical reporting.
• Drive strong safety, quality, productivity and 5S standards across the workshop.
• Share technical knowledge and help develop the capability of other technicians.
