Job summary

INTEC Energy Solutions is seeking an experienced Construction Manager for the Lower Wonga BESS & Solar PV project in the Gympie region, Queensland. You will lead on-site construction activities, coordinate subcontractors, and work closely with OEMs, HSE, commissioning and project stakeholders to deliver major renewable energy works.

You will drive safety, quality, and schedule adherence while coordinating across multiple fronts to ensure successful handover and project milestones are met.

Qualifications

• Degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, Project Management or related discipline.
• 6+ years in construction management or site supervision within renewable energy or major construction projects.
• Experience delivering BESS, HV, electrical infrastructure or energy projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day BESS and Solar PV construction activities, ensuring safety and quality.
• Support mobilisation and construction readiness, coordinating site access and laydown areas.
• Manage subcontractors, suppliers and OEMs on site to maximise productivity and adhere to schedule.
• Monitor progress against milestones, identify risks and assist with look-ahead planning.
• Champion safety culture, ensure compliance with WHS and project HSE plans.
• Drive quality and compliance across construction activities with inspections and documentation.
• Support pre-commissioning, commissioning and energisation readiness, including handover readiness.
• Provide leadership to site supervisors and contractors to foster a high-performing team.
