Job summary

UQ Sport Ltd in St Lucia is seeking an Aquatic Centre Assistant Manager to provide hands-on operational leadership at the Aquatic Centre. You will work with the Senior Manager to manage day-to-day operations, staff development and ensure safety and service standards.

You will bring at least two years in venue management in aquatic settings, proven leadership, strong customer focus and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Two years of venue management experience within the aquatic industry.
• Demonstrated leadership capability to inspire, develop and manage teams.
• Strong track record of delivering high-quality customer service and increasing program participation.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills with adaptability in a dynamic environment.
• An improvement-focused mindset with the ability to identify and implement better ways of working.
• Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
• Blue Card.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support Aquatic Centre staff, building a positive, accountable and high-performing team culture.
• Oversee day-to-day venue operations, including rostering, shift approvals, Front of House operations and customer service.
• Maintain high standards of aquatic safety, compliance and emergency preparedness.
• Oversee pool plant operations, water treatment and testing, working with contractors and the Facilities team to maintain water quality requirements.
• Develop and maintain operational procedures, ensuring staff are appropriately trained and operational standards are consistently followed.
• Monitor incidents, implement corrective actions and support ongoing improvements across the venue.
• Work with internal teams to support memberships, Food & Beverage and retail revenue streams.
