MAYDAY Recruitment Group, partnering with a leading fintech, is seeking an experienced Collections & Recoveries Consultant to join the Sydney CBD team. You will manage late-stage commercial collections, use skip tracing to support outcomes, and negotiate repayment plans with customers.

This role offers a hybrid setup (1 day WFH), comprehensive onboarding, and opportunities for career progression within a supportive, high-performance environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year's experience in collections or recoveries.
• Experience with late-stage collections or arrears management is highly regarded.
• Experience with skip tracing and negotiating payment arrangements.
• Strong communication, negotiation and objection-handling skills.
• Resilience, accountability and a solutions-focused mindset.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, KPI-driven environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Salesforce experience advantageous but not essential.
• Litigation experience highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of late-stage commercial collections and recoveries accounts.
• Investigate accounts through skip tracing and information gathering to support positive outcomes.
• Build rapport with customers to understand circumstances and negotiate repayment plans or settlements.
• Handle inbound and outbound customer conversations with professionalism and empathy.
• Assess financial hardship applications in line with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Work collaboratively with the wider team to achieve individual and business objectives.
• Maintain accurate records and case notes within company systems.
